There are rumors confirmed news that you may be tracked back if you are using the pirated or nullified vBulletin and IP. board forum softwares.

There are many groups like DGT to make vBulletin softwares pirated so that you can use them without purchasing them. The method used by DGT to make these forum platforms nullified involves to include a “validator.php” file.

But there are reports that this file can be executed by a third person if left on server after installing the pirated platform and in this way one can get the sensitive information from different directories on the server.

No doubt most forums are using the legal copy of these forum softwares, but if you are running an illegal forum softwares, you may be in danger in future.

The same method is used to nullify the IP. board platform, esp by the DGT group of hackers.
