Our plan, as I’ll explain in a moment, is to ramp up delivery gradually—but make the update available to most existing customers within 4 weeks.

But this tutorial will allow your device to get the Mango update running even without the update notification.

Remember, that this process  will take a handsome amount of time, so only do it if you are a patient enough person. First you need to carry out a few simple steps, such as

• Checking that you have NoDo Build installed.
• If it is then you can progress on and plug your Windows Phone to your PC.
• Launch the Zune software.
• Click on the “Phone” button displayed on the top of the screen.
• Now click on “Settings” and then press the “Update” button. (you will be notified of an update, if you don’t have NoDo Installed on your device)

Now you have to consider a few important things before progressing on to installing Mango. If you have installed Nodo, and still you see an update option, than you are quite lucky, as you can install Mango by just clicking on the update option.

Well, otherwise, you will have to follow the long way, but keep in mind that please do not remove the USB cable in the process, and make sure that you have at least above 60% of charging in your phone.

1. Install the Zune Software after downloading it. (If you don’t have it already)
2. Connect your Windows Phone to the computer via a USB cable.
3. Just as you connect your phone, Zune will automatically launch. Now open “Phone” on the top, then “Settings” and then click on the “Update” option.
4. Here is the trickiest and the most difficult step of all, you have to follow the same steps as demonstrated in the point 3 but just as you click the “Update” button, immediately disconnect the internet,WiFi or whatever you are using to access the internet.
5. Now be patient, and wait for exactly 30 seconds, if Zune displays a notification that an update is available, then you are doing all the steps correctly, if not repeat the 4th step.
6. Reconnect the internet and progress on to carry on with the update process option.

1. After the update (7392)  is fully installed, you will have a second update notification. If so, install it. And if not, repeat the steps 3 and 4 so the update (7403) appears and install it.
2. After the 7403 update, Zune will automatically install the last update 7720. If not, then repeat the 3-4 step so this update is installed too. (Getting used to this process, aren’t you?)

A lot of repos are already available through Cydia App hosting thousands of apps, themes and tweak. The most popular ones are BigBoss and ModMyi. If not all, most of the apps and tweaks are found in these repositories. But the same advantage can turn against you sometimes. It can really get a bit irritating if all the apps, even the ones you dislike or are some garbage apps, clutter your screen.

Now, there is a solution to it. Get iRepo and make your very own repository in which you can make a collection of the apps used/liked by you, your friends or your any co-worker. While the sharing of apps is not that difficult through email attachments but sometimes the apps are so big, they just cant go with the specified attachment-email space. So making your own repository is the best way there is.

• First of you should have a jailbroken idevice. If your device is yet to be jailbroken, consult our this Mini SiteMap for iPhone jailbreak and unlock related posts.
• After you have jailbrokne your device, launch Cydia and search for iRepo.

• Purchase iRepo which is available at the cost of $1.99 now but the price of this cool app may go up in near future.
• After you install it and restart your device, you will see a new icon on iPhone homescreen.
• Launch it and create a new repo having a unique name and little description. Passwords can also be set.

• Tap the “Save” button now, and then the “Enable Repo” button.

There you go! Now you can upload your apps using desktop software like iFunbox or DiskAid. You can also fill up your repo on the go using iFile on your iPhone. iFile is a must have app for all jailbroken devices which is available through Cydia Store free.

Now, its up to you if you want to share your repository with your friends, family members, your co-workers, or even everyone!

It is to be noted that jailbroken device is the prerequisite for this guide. If you haven’t jailbroken your device, you can head over to this post to download the latest version of Redsn0w to jailbeak iOS 4.3.1, iOS 4.3.2 any earlier version or you can read about JailbreakMe 3.0 which jailbreaks iOS 4.3.3 on all idevices. If you are using iOS 4.3.4 or iOS 4.3.5, you can use Redsn0w 0.9.8 to get tethered jailbreak.

Step 1: After you have jailbroken your device, launch Cydia and find and install iFile by using the Search Option.

Step 2: Now go to /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app.

Step 3: In Springboard.app open the following file depending on your iOS device using Property list viewer.

• If you have got iPod Touch 4, open N81AP.plist
• If you have got iPhone 4, open N90AP.plist

Step 4: Now tap on capabilities and type “display-mirroring” after tapping on + sign. Choose “Boolean” under TYPE as shown in this screenshot.

Step 5: Tap on Create option.

Step 6: Once you have created this new capability. Go back to capabilities again, scroll down and switch on “display-mirroring.

Step 7: Reboot your iPhone 4/iPod Touch, connect it with TV using HDMI or VGA adapter and mirror the screen of your iPhone.

As you know whenever you connect your device with iTunes after Apple releases a new firmware, you get a pop-up message reading that a new software is available for your device provided your device is still on older iOS version. But when you update your device to this latest firmware, you lose the jailbreak ability on your device until iPhone Dev Team updates its existing jailbreak tools or develops a new tool to jailbreak that specific firmware.

The same case is with iOS 4.3.4 firmware. If you install iOS 4.3.4 on your device, you will lose the jailbreak ability. Now all you can do is either to wait for a new jailbreak, which might take a long time to come, or to downgrade to previous iOS firmware which is only possible if you have already saved the SHSH blobs for the firmware to which you are downgrading. But if you have not saved the blobs and want to keep your device jailbroken, you are advised to use the below mentioned simple trick that prevents iTunes from showing any update message. This trick will make iTunes to think that your device is running on iOS 4.3.4.

Step 1: Download iFile from Cydia Store.

Step 2: Go into System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist and open the file in Text Viewer.

Step 3: Tap on Edit button present on top left side.

Step 4: Change 4.3.3 to 4.3.4 and 8J2 to 8K2 and tap on Save button.

Step 5: Reboot your device.

Now connect your device with iTunes and you won’t receive any update warnings.

Note: Downgrade process will  work only if you have already saved SHSH blobs for the iOS firmware to which you are downgrading. If you are still on iOS 4.3.3, we recommend you to save the SHSH blobs on Cydia and on your local hard-drive using the TinyUmbrella before Apple closes the signing window for iOS 4.3.3.

Downgrade iOS 4.3.1 to iOS 4.3 or iOS 4.2.1 Guide:

Step 1: Download the iOS firmware file (stock iPSW) to which you wish to go back. [Direct download links for iOS 4.3, iOS 4.2.1 and iOS 4.3.3]

Step 2: Open”Hosts” file in NotePad from this location in Windows OS: C:/WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc

If you are Mac user, navigate to GO -> Go to Folder and enter the path “/etc” and open the file “hosts” with TextEdit.

Step 3: Now add the following hostname at the end of the file as shown in the screenshot below. Save the file.

Step 4: Open iTunes and connect your device with the PC via USB cable and put your device into DFU mode. Here is how you can get DFU mode on your phone.

• Turn off your phone.
• Now press Power button and as soon as you seen Apple Logo, press Home button while keeping pressed Power button too.
• Keep holding down both button for about 10 seconds.
• After 10 sec, release Power button but keep holding Home button until iTunes recognizes your iPhone. You should keep the PC volume high to hear New Device Detection sound.
• Let go the Home button. At this point your iPhone screen should be blank (black in color).

Step 5: From the iTunes sidebar select your device. Now press the “alt” (option) button on Mac or left “Shift” button if you are on Win and then click on “Restore” button in the iTunes.

This will make iTunes prompt you to select the location for iOS 4.3.3, iOS 4.3.2 or iOS 4.3.1 you downloaded in step 1.

Now sit back and let iTunes restore iOS 4.3.3 on your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch. During the restore process you may see unknown error messages (1013, 1004 etc), just ignore these errors. If you sill get such error, retry after putting your device into Pwned DFU mode.

At this point your iPhone may be stuck in recovery mode, showing that “Connect to iTunes” screen. To get rid of this recovery mode, download TinyUmbrella and click on “Exit Recovery” option.

That’s all. Now you can use JailbreakMe 3.0 to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running on iOS 4.3.3.

The trick involves copying a .mov video file into /var/mobile/ folder of your iPhone. The step by step method is as follows:

Step 1: Make your video and convert into .mov format using any free Video Converter that supports .mov files. The file name should be “Demo.mov” (without quotes).

Step 2: Jailbreak your iPhone if it is not already jailbroken. If your device is running on iOS 4.3.3 or you have iPad 2, you will have to use JailbreakMe 3.0 to jailbreak your device. The devices running on any previous iOS version can be jailbroken with Redsnow.

Step 3: Now either use SSH method or iFile method to transfer the Demo.mov file into /var/mobile/ folder on your iPhone. The former method has already been posted here in details. iFile method seems simpler than SSH method but it requires your PC and iPhone connected with each other on the same WiFi connection.

To use the iFile method, download iFile from Cydia Store after jailbreaking your device.

Go to iFile preferences and turn on the Web Server. Type a username of your choice and password and press the Done option on top right corner.

Now tap on WiFi signal present in iFile bottom area.

Type the address shown on the screen of your iPhone into your PC browser.

When you are prompted for username and password, type the same which you entered during iFile’s web server set up.

Now you can transfer the file from your PC into your iPhone.

Step 4: Respring your iPhone. Now make sure you have activated autolock feature on your iPhone. After the set time ends the phone will loop the video rather than locking.

Keep your iPhone into a dock and impress your friends with continuous demo video.

Here is the step by step guide to jailbreak iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS while preserving the baseband on iOS 4.3.2 using Pwnagetool 4.3.2. You should backup your device before starting the actual process.

Requirements:

• Pwnagetool 4.3.2
• iTunes 10.2.2
• Stock iOS 4.3.2 iPSW file for you iPhone
• Mac machine

Cooking custom iOS 4.3.2:

Step 1:

Unzip and launch Pwnagetool 4.3.2.

Step 2:

Select Expert Mode. Now select your iPhone and click the blue arrow to continue.

Step 3:

Browse for iPSW file (iOS 4.3.2) which you have already downloaded in Part 1. (Make it sure that iPSW file is placed on desktop)

Step 4:

Now hit the Build button to cook the custom firmware and save it on your PC.

Restoring iOS 4.3.2 Custom Firmware

Put your iPhone into DFU mode. PwnageTool will help you in this process. Follow the onscreen instructions for this purpose.

• Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds
• Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds
• You device should now be in DFU mode

After the iPhone is in DFU mode, launch iTunes and it will tell you it has found an iPhone in recovery mode. Press OK to continue.

To install the custom cooked firmware, press the Alt/Option key and click on “Restore” in iTunes. Browse to saved custom iOS 4.3.2 file and let iTunes do its work.

iPhone will reboot after it has been restored successfully.

How to Unlock iOS 4.3.2:

If you are still on unlockable baseband, you can follow our guide posted here to unlock your iPhone 4/iPhone 3GS with Ultasnow 1.2.2.

There are many websites which are offering iPhone unlocking using IMEI but three sites seem to be more reliable keeping in view their decent past history and these are Negri Electronics , CutYourSim or SuperPaddy. Many users have got their iPhone 4 unlocked through these websites. One name which I am going to mention here is Nadeem Ateyeh (aka @Nadeem97) who has been involved in developing unofficial PwnageTool bundles and testing other PwnageTool based beta jailbreak tools.

IMEI unlocking is very simple. All you have to do is to send the IMEI of your device to the site which is offering IMEI unlocking. After few hours you get a confirmation message that your iPhone is ready to be unlocked and that you can activate it with iTunes. You don’t need to install any software or restore or update iOS firmware.

How to Activate iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS:

After getting the confirmation from unlocking website, follow the steps which suite your condition.

If you have restored to fresh and latest stock iOS firmware, simply connect your device with PC and launch iTunes. You will see this message shortly if the IMEI of your device has been added in the database.

“Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked.”

But in case your iPhone is already activated using the official SIM or it is hacktivated using either Snowbreeze or PwnageTool, you don’t need to restore to fresh iOS firmware. Follow these simple steps to get your iPhone activated.

Step 1:

If your device is already jailbroken then skip this step, otherwise follow our step by step guide to jailbreak your iPhone 4, 3GS using Redsnow on the latest iOS 4.3.1 firmware.

Step 2:

After jailbreaking, launch Cydia. Go to “Manage” tab, tap on “Edit” on top right side and then tap on “Add” on top left side of Cydia. Add the following source: http://repo.bingner.com

Step 3:

Search for SAM using the search option and install it.

Step 4:

If you are officially activated, launch SAM from SpringBoard, go to Utilities and “De-activate iPhone”.

Step 5:

After this connect your iPhone with iTunes and let it activate using the new certs arriving to your device allowing any SIM usage.

Step 6:

If you are using hakctivated iPhone, after launching SAM go to Utilities and do a “Revert Lockdown to Stock” instead of “De-Activate iPhone”.

Connect your device with iTunes and let it activate.

Requirements:

• iOS 4.3.1 Stock iPSW file
• S0wbreeze 2.5.1
• iTunes 10.2.1

Creating Custom iOS 4.3.1 Firmware Using Sn0wbreeze 2.4

Step 1: Run the downloaded Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1. The antivirus installed on your PC may consider it a virus, so you should disable antivirus program temporarily or add Snowbreeze to exception list.

Step 2: Click the blue colored arrow to proceed.

Step 3: Select the required iPSW file (iOS 4.3.1) by clicking on “Browse” option.

Step 4: Snowbreeze will identify the iPSW file at this stage. Click on arrow again to proceed.

Step 5: If you are having iPhone and want to preserve the current baseband only, select “Baseband Preservation Mode” otherwise select “Simple Mode” or “Expert Mode”. Simple and Expert Modes only only preserve the baseband but also jailbreak the iOS 4.3.1. We recommend you to select Simple Mode at this stage.

Step 6: Sn0wbreeze will now start cooking the custom iOS 4.3.1 firmware.

Step 7: When you see “Done” message, click on “OK” button.

Step 8: Follow the onscreen instructions to put your device into pwned DFU mode.

Restoring Custom iOS 4.3.1 Firmware Using iTunes

Launch iTunes. From the iTunes sidebar select your device. Now press the “alt” (option) button on Mac or left “Shift” button if you are on Win and then click on “Restore” button in the iTunes.

Note: All those users who rely on unlock must not update their devices to stock iOS 4.3.1 iPSW file otherwise they will lose the unlock ability. They can use PwnageTool 4.3 to build the custom iOS 4.3.1 iPSW file and restore to it.

Step 1: Download the stock iOS 4.3.1 restore iPSW file for iPhone, iPad or iPod device.

Step 2: Update or restore to this download iOS version using the latest iTunes 10.2.1.

Step 3: Launch Redsnow 0.9.6 RC9 and point it to the official stock iOS 4.3.1 iPSW file which you have already downloaded in step 1.

Step 4: Reds0w will identify the file and prepare the jailbreak data.

Step 5: After clicking on Next, select the “Install Cydia” option and click on Next again.

Step 6: At this stage make it sure that your device is both OFF and plugged in and click on Next button.

Step 7: Follow the on-screen instruction to put your device into DFU mode.

Step 8: Now sit back and let Redsn0w do its work. Once your device is jailbroken it will restart automatically and you will see the Cydia icon on the screen of your idevice.
