No software is perfect, especially at the time of release. Almost all apps and software contain some bugs when they are made public. The same case happened with new evasi0n untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1 jailbreak.
Its version 1.0 breaks the weather app on idevices. Whenever the users tries to open weather app, it crashes. Some users also reported other issues like longer reboot.
So to fix these and other such issues, evad3rs team has released another update. Evasi0n 1.1 version is now available for download.
New version is available now. See “Update 1X” below.
Here is the official change log:
– prevent Weather app from appearing on iPads.
– mitigated the long reboot issue.
– fix issue with not working after connecting multiple iOS devices
– fix blinking of the jailbreak instructions on OS X.
– codesigned Mac app.
How to Use Evasi0n 1.1 to Jailbreak iPhone 5, 4S, 4, 3GS, iPad Mini, iPad 4, 3, 2, and iPod touch Devices:
Case 1: If you are going to jailbreak the freshly restored iOS 6.1 version, you should download this latest version of evasi0n and follow the instructions posted in our previous step by step guide.
Case 2: But if you have already jailbroken using the first release, you can first try the evasion package available in Cydia store which will resolve all the issues. But if it doesn’t help, then use version 1.1.
Even then if the problem is still there, you should restore the fresh iOS firmware after making a backup of your device and try this latest evasi0n build.
