Firefox 3.6 Beta is available for Testing

firefoxFirefox 3.6 is available now for experimental use. If you want to discover what you will get in the final release of 3.6 version, you can give a try to latest beta version.

Be careful that your plugins/addons might not work in this release.

The important changes in this release are:

  • Tab previews – You can use CTRL and Tab to quickly switch between tabs.
  • Use of the 1.9.2 Gecko Engine which will reduce the page rendering time.
  • Thumbnail taskbar previews – If you are running windows 7, you can use this option as well.
  • JavaScript – You will also see many improvements in the handling of JavaScript.
  • Automated Plug-In Checker – Though the latest stable firefox installed on my PC also checks the new version of addons, but this will do in a more better way.firefox 3.6
