How to Disable Google Buzz Completely

Google Buzz does not pass the expectation test for many users and they are more concerned about privacy. Although Google has introduced a simple way to disable Google buzz by logging into your gmail account and turning off Google Buzz ( a link at the bottom of gmail main page ), but still your profile will be visible to others.

Here are some steps to completely disable the google buzz and make yourself invisible to others.

  1. First of all don’t turn off google buzz in gmail, and if you have already turned it off, turn it on to complete the procedure.
  2. Go to http://www.google.com/profiles and delete all your public buzzes by simply clicking on delete link.
  3. Go to Google Buzz in your Gmail and unfollow all those following people who have been added in your account by google.
  4. Now block all the followers or individually block every follower. You can unblock them later on and followers will never be notified that you have blocked them.
  5. Now go to Gmail main page and turn off google buzz.

  • You forgot to tell to disconnect connected sites (picasa, blogspot, tec.) Near your name you will see something like "Connected Sites" (in Spanish is Sitios Conectados) so that info is not linked to buzz anymore. Buzz is CRAP, really. Zero privacy, zero common sense in the implementation.
