Apple has just released iOS 4.2.6 for Verizon iPhone 4 which is now available for download. Surprisingly Apple seeded iOS 4.2.6 to public even before the launch of CDMA iPhone 4, that is coming on February 10th, 2011.
There is no difference between iOS 4.2.1 and iOS 4.2.6 except that Personal Hotspot feature is included in the later version for Verizon users. iPhone 4 GSM users will also get Personal Hotspot in the upcoming iOS 4.3 which is under beta testing right now.
The size of Verizon iOS firmware is around 652MB. It is labeled as build number 8E200 while iPhone3,3 is the identification number assigned to Verizon iPhone 4.
