Apple’s statements at the iPhone 4 Press Conference against different mobiles regarding the reception problems stirred the whole mobile industry and almost every manufacturer responded in different way. The day after the conference Nokia issued the statement:
“In general, antenna performance of a mobile device/phone may be affected with a tight grip, depending on how the device is held. That’s why Nokia designs our phones to ensure acceptable performance in all real life cases, for example when the phone is held in either hand. Nokia has invested thousands of man hours in studying how people hold their phones and allows for this in designs, for example by having antennas both at the top and bottom of the phone and by careful selection of materials and their use in the mechanical design.”
Such counter-attacked comments from different smartphone manufacturers provoked Apple to release the videos of top handsets from different companies showing the similar antenna/reception problems.
The collection of such videos can be watched on Apple’s website, but here we are sharing only two videos: one is of Nokia N97 Mini by Apple and another is of iPhone 4.

Nokia N97 Mini Reception Problem by Apple:
One can not conclude which phone has issues by simply watching these videos until he uses it himself. So before making any conclusion/decision to purchase the new smartphone, we recommend that you should use it at least for few hours. You can borrow it from a friend, or play with the phone in the mobile shop for some time before making a purchase.
