Every regular user of text messages wants to be quicker, responsive, concise and expressive. But if there are some icons available to convey the message in small pictures, he really loves to use them now and then. And a time comes when he can’t live without such tiny icons to include in the SMS and other messaging apps.
Finally Windows Phone 8.1 update has been announced which includes many new features, some of which are very demanding and some others are though not very handy but add a new experience and look to the smartphones and tablets.
With the release of new iOS 7, Apple also added few more security steps for iPhone and iPad owners. Now when the Find my iPhone feature is turned on, you can neither restore to new and fresh iOS and nor delete the iCloud account without first disabling the Find My iPhone feature. But there is a new bug in iOS 7 – up to iOS 7.0.4 – which allows any user to not only turn off the Find my iPhone but also delete the existing iCloud and add any new account.
Update 1X: Now you can delete your existing iCloud from iPhone 6S, 6, 5S, 5, 4S, iPad models and iPod Touch running iOS 9 and iOS 8.
Update: Apple had fixed this bug in the recent iOS 7.1 update. But there is a new bug even in the latest release which also allows the users to delete iCloud account without knowing the password. Read the details at the bottom of this post.
Microsoft has officially declared that they will be releasing an abridged version of Windows operating system which one can use to control and add features in many other devices other than PC, Tablets and smartphones.
As we all know that evasi0n7 exploits have been patched in the recently released iOS 7.1 firmware, meaning the existing loop holes and exploits are not working on it. It doesn’t mean the battle between Apple and the hackers (jailbreakers) is over now. One of iOS researchers @wincom has just uploaded a video of untethered iOS 7.1 jailbreak running on an iPhone.
Nokia announced three new models of its new X series at Mobile World Congress, that are Nokia X, X+ and XL. You can read more about them, about their specifications, price and availability on the official Nokia launch page. The good news here is that you can now root these devices and install the Google Play Store, Google Maps, Gapps and all other apps available in the store on them.
Evasi0n7 for iOS 7 gets an update from previous v1.0.6 to new v1.0.7 which is now the latest one at the time of this writing. Nothing is changed in the latest version except a bug is fixed which was plaguing some devices. The affected iPhone and iPad models were not getting the latest updates and new Cydia packages from already added repositories. Unfortunately there is still no way to push the fix for any specific device through already available universal cydia package. So, the evad3rs team had to release the new version evasi0n7 1.0.7 to fix the issue.
Apple has just released a new version OS X 10.9.2 for its Mavericks users. The main purpose of this update is to fix the SSL bug but it also contains some other new features.
There are reports from a trusted source that new bug in iOS 7, and even in little older iOS 6, versions can send all your keylogging data back to any third party server which then can translate it to know what you are typing and where you are tapping.
Samsung has finally unveiled the new Galaxy S5 device at UNPACKED event in Mobile World Congress, Barcelona. The device is very powerful, I think the most powerful smartphone of its category when we compare its specifications with any other existing model. It is packed with 2.5GHz Processor, 2GB RAM, 2700mAh battery and 16 megapixel camera.
SSL bug is very serious security threat in which a third party may attack in the middle of secure connection without a warning on the client side. Yesterday Apple released new iOS versions iOS 7.0.6 and iOS 6.1.6 to fix this security flaw in the SSL handling code inside the security framework. Though it is always recommended to upgrade to the latest version especially when there is already jailbreak available for the that, but if you don’t have time now to go through all the upgrading steps, here is a simple tweak which gives the patch on iOS 7.0.5, iOS 7 and iOS 6 devices including the latest 64 bit devices.
Few hours ago Apple released a new version iOS 7.0.6 for iPhone, iPod and iPad devices which contains few security bug fixes related to SSL certification. Fortunately the evasi0n7 exploits are still present in it and we can use the jailbreak tool on it too. This news is not confirmed by any official member of evad3rs team but an unofficial build of evasi0n7 tells the whole story.
