Anyone who loves Apple’s iPhone or have ever used one of its models/version, he can say at first watch that the device shown is fake iPhone 5. In fact, it’s pretty bad fake but it will trick some of your casual friends if you send it to them.

This is obviously a marketing stunt by ZAGG but it, and other such videos which will appear now soon, will keep us entertained until the original iPhone 5 comes.

It is to be noted that jailbroken device is the prerequisite for this guide. If you haven’t jailbroken your device, you can head over to this post to download the latest version of Redsn0w to jailbeak iOS 4.3.1, iOS 4.3.2 any earlier version or you can read about JailbreakMe 3.0 which jailbreaks iOS 4.3.3 on all idevices. If you are using iOS 4.3.4 or iOS 4.3.5, you can use Redsn0w 0.9.8 to get tethered jailbreak.

Step 1: After you have jailbroken your device, launch Cydia and find and install iFile by using the Search Option.

Step 2: Now go to /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app.

Step 3: In Springboard.app open the following file depending on your iOS device using Property list viewer.

• If you have got iPod Touch 4, open N81AP.plist
• If you have got iPhone 4, open N90AP.plist

Step 4: Now tap on capabilities and type “display-mirroring” after tapping on + sign. Choose “Boolean” under TYPE as shown in this screenshot.

Step 5: Tap on Create option.

Step 6: Once you have created this new capability. Go back to capabilities again, scroll down and switch on “display-mirroring.

Step 7: Reboot your iPhone 4/iPod Touch, connect it with TV using HDMI or VGA adapter and mirror the screen of your iPhone.

The trick involves copying a .mov video file into /var/mobile/ folder of your iPhone. The step by step method is as follows:

Step 1: Make your video and convert into .mov format using any free Video Converter that supports .mov files. The file name should be “Demo.mov” (without quotes).

Step 2: Jailbreak your iPhone if it is not already jailbroken. If your device is running on iOS 4.3.3 or you have iPad 2, you will have to use JailbreakMe 3.0 to jailbreak your device. The devices running on any previous iOS version can be jailbroken with Redsnow.

Step 3: Now either use SSH method or iFile method to transfer the Demo.mov file into /var/mobile/ folder on your iPhone. The former method has already been posted here in details. iFile method seems simpler than SSH method but it requires your PC and iPhone connected with each other on the same WiFi connection.

To use the iFile method, download iFile from Cydia Store after jailbreaking your device.

Go to iFile preferences and turn on the Web Server. Type a username of your choice and password and press the Done option on top right corner.

Now tap on WiFi signal present in iFile bottom area.

Type the address shown on the screen of your iPhone into your PC browser.

When you are prompted for username and password, type the same which you entered during iFile’s web server set up.

Now you can transfer the file from your PC into your iPhone.

Step 4: Respring your iPhone. Now make sure you have activated autolock feature on your iPhone. After the set time ends the phone will loop the video rather than locking.

Keep your iPhone into a dock and impress your friends with continuous demo video.

Hardware is the main problem due to which old iPhone models can’t support the new features properly like FaceTime, HDR Photography, Multitasking etc.

If we compare the hardware of iPhone 3G and iPhone 4, the former is about quarter of the latter. However the video posted by Rene on TiPb shows that iPhone 3G can also handle the iOS 4.2 without any lag and sluggishness.

You can see how well iPhone 3G is performing on iOS 4.2 while typing, zooming, scrolling, opening apps etc.

Accelerometer is already available in many android and symbian based phones, but Apple introduced one level higher technology, Gyroscope, in its iPhone 4. After performing teardown of both iPhone 4 and iPad, UBM technologies found that there was an empty slot in iPad which could accommodate the Gyroscope ship found in iPhone 4.

This indicates Apple was planning on including a gyroscope in iPad first, but the company skipped it at the the time of delivery.

…UBM TechInsights, has found that the iPhone’s 3-axis digital gyroscope is likely slated for the next generation iPad as well. TechInsights senior analyst Steve Bitton said there’s an almost-perfect spot (4mm x 4mm); the exact size of the MEMS gyro) for it, located right beside the iPad’s accelerometer.

Apple has also plans to revise the iPod Touch (probably iPod Touch 4) in September. Though we don’t have enough information at this stage, but the new iPod Touch 4 will be equipped with the most of iPhone 4′s features including Gyroscope.

Today Google has officially announced the next version of android operating system at Google I/O. Android 2.2 which is also know as Froyo is reported 2-5X more faster with more than 20 new features.

The new features can be devided into four categories:

• New User Interface Features
• New Platform Technological features
• New Developers Services
• New APIs for developers

In this post we will share the new user interface features in brief.

1. Home Screen:

Home Screen in Android 2.2 gets two new featurs. One feature is tips widget and another is dedicated shortcuts for some certain apps.

Tips Widget: This widget helps the new users, esp those users who are new to android OS, to configure the home screen of any android 2.2 based mobile. It tells how to put/arrange shortcuts and widgets and how to make use of multiple home screens.

Dedicated Shortcuts: Now there are three dedicated shortcuts on each home screen. These shortcuts are for the Phone, Application Launcher and Browser.

2. Exchange Support:

Under exchange support we get the following new feature in Froyo.

Improved Security: Now you can protect your mobile with a password.

Remote Wipe: If your phone has been stolen or lost, you can reset it to its default settings remotely to wipe all your personal content.

The other two features in Exchange support are auto discovery to easily setup and sync an Exchange Account and another is Global Address Lists Lookup to autocomplete the recipient names from the directory

3. New Camera and Gallery Features:

Camera has got onscreen buttons for different functions like controlling zoom, flash, white balance, geotagging, focus and exposure.

Now you can also set the size and quality of videos for MMS or youtube or according to need.

LED flash is now available for video recording. You can make a video in dark or at night.

4. Tethering:

Tethering option is also available in new Froyo. We have already discussed this feature in our previous post. You can establish upto 8 connections with your android device by tethering.

5. Different Languages for Keyboard:

Different languages can be added for keyboard and the language can be switched with a single tap.

6. General Performance:

Performance has been improved at many levels. Browser speed is enhanced using V8 engine with faster loading of java and other scripts.

Memory management is improved for low memory phones so that apps can be switched easily.
