iPhone Dev Team has just updated its unlocking tool, Ultrasnow 1.1-1, for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPod on iOS 4.0 and iOS 4.0.1 to resolve the standby battery issues. There were many complaints from iPhone users that they were facing some battery life issues after making their idevies free from carrier unlock using ultrasn0w 1.0-1.
The instructions to unlock iPhone 4/3G/3GS with ultrasnow 1.1-1 are same as posted in our previous posts. There are also reports that after unlocking some users get the error message “Different SIM Detected” which can be fixed with a simple tweak.

On other side Apple is ready to release a new iOS 4.0.2 to make the jailbreaking and unlocking tools inoperative on iPhone, iPod and iPad. So if you rely on unlocking, never try to upgrade your phone until iPhone deve team releases an updated version of JailbreakMe and Ultrasnow.
