AccuWeather, which is one of the most popular weather apps, is updated with new dress for android OS based handsets. I just installed it on my Samsung Galaxy S3 and I can tell you one thing that is it runs smoothly and presents more detailed information.
When we open AccuWeather 3.0.1 first time, after installing and downloading the required files, we see the default location at the top left side, next to the logo. When we tap on this logo, a new page slides out from the left containing quick links to Now, Hourly, Daily, Maps, Videos, News and Locations pages. You can also go from one page/tab to another by simply swiping from left to right and right to left.
Though the main purpose of this update is to provide maximum information to the users, however, some information is buried deep under few more taps like Sunset and Sunrise times. To check these times, first you’ll have to open “Daily” tab, tap on a day and there you see the required information.
The customisable My AccuWeather forecasts are also added under “Now” tab.
Mult-location and resizable widgets are now available with this app. Two new widgets AccuWeather Holo Dark and Holo Light are also included.
Here is the list of features introduced in version 3.0.1.
- Completely redesigned for tablets and phones, with landscape & portrait modes
- NEW! Multi-location, resizable widgets with more detail
- NEW! Customizable My AccuWeather forecasts.
- NEW! Pushed severe weather notices for tablets.
- NEW! European radar and a snapshot view for your saved locations.
Good. I agree.
