Today Apple announces iPad 3 with retina display. The new iPad 3 contains 1 million pixels more than a HDTV. It’s 2048 x 1536. Contrary to the previous rumors it contains a physical home button there.
- It is powered by Apple’s next generation process A5X. Comparing to a Tegra 3, Apple says the A5 is “twice as fast” and the A5X offers “four times the performance.
- It contains iSight camera at back-end: 5-megapixel backside illuminated sensor on the back, 5-element lens, IR filter, and ISP built into the A5X chip.
- Auto-focus and auto-exposure camera
- 1080 video recording.
- Voice dictation comes to iPad.
- Fifth feature 4G LTE ; New iPad now has 21Mbps HSPA+ and DC-HSDPA at 42Mbps, with LTE taking the cake at 73Mbps.
- Personal hotspot if the network supports
- Most Bands ever
- 10 hours battery life on this retina display; 9 hours on 4G
- Size: 9.4mm thin, weighing 1.4lbs

- 16GB is $499, 32GB is $599 and 64GB for $699. If you want 4G it’s $629, $729 and $829. It will be available from March 16. But the pre-orders start now.
