I always wanted to know when I I took the photos present in iPhone Photo App but there is no native solution provided by Apple. One out of many solutions is to install an app from App Store which can extract the exact date and time of the photos. For this purpose my all time favorite is ExifWizard which provides a lot of information like date and time, aperture, exposure, ISO equiv etc. This app can also translate EXIF. However, such apps doesn’t provide one-click solutions.
Dater app is a new app available through Cydia store which integrates with the native Photos.app of iPhone. It adds timestamps to the photos.
Dater also adds an extra menu to photos which appears when you tap and hold on the photo for few seconds. “More Info” menu provides information about size, creation time, modification time, dimensions and location of the image.
Dater tweak can be installed through Cydia store but this app is not free. It is available in the BigBoss repo with the price tag of $0.99. If you really love photography, you should purchase this tweak to add the missing functionality to Photos app.
