Instagram is one of those applications which doesn’t allow you to download the uploaded content on your local storage. There is not any official built-in support for this purpose. Though there are a lot of apps which can do it but mostly they require rooted android phone to work properly. EasyDownloader for Instagram is a new applications available in the Play Store which lets you download the pictures and videos on your phone and that is done without rooting.
The beauty of this app is that it is very simple. It doesn’t require you to sign in with your instagram credentials. All you have to do is to run it first and then use a trick. The only requirement it has is the already installed Instagram app. If you install this tiny app first before Instagram, it won’t work.
Here is how to Save Instagram Photos on android:
Step 1: First of all download and install the Instagram app if you you don’t have it yet on your android phone.
Step 2: Now install EasyDownloader for Instagram.
Step 3: Click on EasyDownloader and it will start running in the background. You’ll also see an icon of it in the status bar.
Step 4: Tap on three dots (…) at the end of the photo or video you want to download and then tap on “Copy Share URL”.
Step 5: The content will start downloading in the background which you can see in the Notification Center by pulling it down from the status bar.The picture or video will be saved in the Pictures or Downloads folder (often seen in the Gallery).
Definitely the downloading method used by this app is possible only due to a bug in the current Instagram version. So it might be patched in the later versions. But til it is not fixed, you can use Easydownloader app to save the pictures and videos uploaded on Instagram.
