Skype gets an update to support the so-called multitasking in iOS 4 (iphone 4 and iPhone 3GS updated to iOS 4). Now you can receive the calls and messages from your friends while the app is running in the background minimized in the multitasking tray.
The new features in the Skype v2.0.1 are:
– Run Skype in the background with multitasking in iOS4. Receive Skype calls and IM while other apps are running or when your iPhone is locked. You can also continue your call while you switch to another application. Multitasking is available only with iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.
It is to remind you that multitasking feature is not available in iPhone 3G and iPod Touch even after you update your device to latest iOS 4.0.1. However if you jailbreak your iPhone 3G and iPod Touch, you can avail the multitasking feature.
