iH8sn0w, the developer behind Snowbreeze has just released the updated version “Snowbreeze 2.2” with untethered jailbreak support on all idevices.
This new version is based on “feedface” exploit which was discovered by Chronic Dev Team and used in Greenpoison. As you know, and for those who don’t know, Snowbreeze allows Windows users to cook custom iOS firmware.
The main feature of Snowbreeze 2.2 includes a new mode called “baseband preservation mode”. This new mode will enable iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G users to preserve the baseband while upgrading to iOS 4.2.1 and then unlock using the existing version of Ultrasn0w.
Snowbreeze 2.2r1 also allows users to play PacMan game while the custom iPSW file is being built for you device.

Mac user can use PwnageTool 4.2 to build the custom firmware while preserving the baseband. The detailed instructions on “How to Jailbreak using Snowbreeze 2.2” are coming soon.
For those that don’t have a Mac and only Windows – then this is for you . . . 3Gs, BB 05.13.04 was jailbroken to 4.2.1. My 3Gs is fully functional – thank you iH8sn0w. Really unfortunate that the DEV TEAM blog refuses to mention this great tool for people that don’t have a Mac.
