Evasion Jailbreak Progress bar Reached 85%, New Instructions Added

I think everything is going according to the plan and we should expect Evasi0n untethered iOS 6.1 jailbreak’s release very soon. The official website of new jailbreak tells us that 85% work has been completed.

The beta testing has been done and now the software is being tested on more idevices and iOS firmware combination. This step may take few more hours because evasion jailbreak will support all iOS 6 versions i.e., iOS 6.0, iOS 6.0.1, iOS 6.0.2 and iOS 6.1.

Evad3rs team has also added some new instructions regarding the jailbreak which are as follows:

  • Backup your iOS device using iTunes or iCloud before using evasi0n. This way you are sure to never lose any data if something wrong happens.

  • Please disable the lock passcode of your iOS device before using evasi0n. It can cause issues.

  • Be patient while the jailbreaking process is running, don’t start iTunes or Xcode in the meanwhile. The best is to not touch the computer until the end of the jailbreaking process.

There is also another important instruction provided by @planetbeing few days ago.

So if you updated your device through built-in Over-the-Air (OTA) updater, we recommend you to install the fresh stock iOS 6.1 firmware through iTunes to avoid any possible errors and issues during the jailbreak. But if you don’t want to do so, you can give a try to the existing firmware.
