Evad3rs team has just released the updated version Evasi0n7 1.0.6 which can now jailbreak the recently released iOS 7.0.6 on iPhone 5S, 5C, iPad, iPod Touch and other devices. It is available for both Windows and Mac computers.
What You Should Do Before Using Evasi0n7 1.0.6
As usual the most important recommendations about any jailbreak is to backup your device with using the latest version of iTunes. Don’t proceed further without doing this step if there is any important information on your iPhone. If it is new or you don’t want to save anything, you can go ahead.
Secondly, the Over-the-Air updates usually cause different issues after jailbreak. So if you updated your smartphone using the built-in updater, then don’t apply it yet. It is recommended to install the fresh stock firmware and then apply evasion-07.
The jailbreak process is very simple and similar to older versions. There is no DFU or Recovery mode requirement before the jailbreak. All you have to do is simply connect your phone with PC and run the tool. A simple click on the “JAILBREAK” button will initiate the process which requires you to remove the passcode first in case you are using it.
During the jailbreak, your phone will reboot for two times. At first reboot you are directed to tap on Evasi0n icon after unlocking your device to proceed further. The second reboot doesn’t contain any such instructions. After the second reboot, you’ll see the famous Cydia icon in a folder. Congratulations! You have successfully jailbroken iOS 7.0.6.
In case you don’t see any Cydia icon, or cydia store doesn’t launch after you tap on it, you’ll have to re-install the iOS version and re-jailbreak it. Something went wrong during the process.
After the successful jailbreak you can now restore your back.
