After updating my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic to latest firmware 50.0.005, I formatted my phone and installed some apps again. When I installed the new version of Google Maps, I noticed that Google has introduced a new feature “Voice Search” for Google Maps.

Voice Search feature is already available for android and Blackberry mobile phones and now symbian and windows based phones have been included in the list. If you are very lazy like me, you can search any location on Google Maps by speaking instead of tapping on the screen.

This new version, apart from Voice search, also adds language choices in the settings page only.

To experience this new feature in google maps, simply point the browser of your phone to this address http://m.google.com and download the latest version of Google Maps.

Tip: You can also give a try to Ovi Maps by Nokia with free walk and drive navigation for symbian phones.
