iBooks is now available for all idevices to read the ebooks (of certain formats) on your iPad/iPhone/iPod but what if you have some documents in .doc, .docx or .TXT extension. Though there are a lot of softwares available to convert the other documents and ebooks into EPUB format but among freebies Calibre is the most popular. Unfortunately Calibre also doesn’t support the .doc, docx and text files. Here we will tell you how to convert such files into EPUB format using the Calibre.
Step 1: Download the Calibre for your PC.
Step 2: Open the .doc, .docx and/or .txt file in Word and save it as Web page or Rich Text format.
Step 3: Open Calibre and add the saved files by clicking on “Add files” button.
Step 4: Select the files which you wan to convert and press the covert button.
Step 5: Edit meta data and make sure you have selected the EPUB format.
Step 6: Once the conversion is complete, drag and drop the files into iTunes.
Step 7: Resync your iDevice with iTunes.
Step 8: Open the iBooks and read your favourite documents.
