As iOS 6.1 is officially available for public, evad3rs group of jailbreakers has started to give the last touch to iOS 6.1 untethered jailbreak.
According to a member of this group, the next major jailbreak for iOS devices might be released the upcoming Sunday. The other members also confirmed that not much is changed in the new release of software.

Untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1 is going to support almost all devices there compatible with latest iOS release like iPhone 5, iPhone 4 & 4S, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, 3, 4, iPad Mini and iPod Touch 4G & 5G. Apple TV support is also coming.
Before evad3rs group release its jailbreak tool, we should prepare ourselves and our devices so that we get the untethered jailbreak without losing anything. And how we can do so, continue reading.
Backup Your Device:
The most important part on your device is of course the data stored on it. First of all we should make it sure we don’t lose any bit of this data. For this purpose we have all-time favourite iTunes software. Launch iTunes and back up your device now. I also recommend you to repeat the backup process just before you start the jailbreak process so that nothing is lost.
Download Required Files & Software:
The following files and software will be required at some stage for jailbreak process.
1) The latest version of iTunes: If you are still running any older version of iTunes on your PC, get and install the latest iTunes from Apple’s website.
2) iOS 6.1 iPSW file: Download and save the iPSW file for your device which might be needed during the jailbreak. Don’t use iTunes to download it. Only use this direct download link to get iPSW file.
Update to iOS 6.1:
If your device is on untethered jailbreak at present and you can’t live without jailbreak, I won’t recommend you to install the latest iOS release right now. But if your device is not jailbroken, you can update your device to this latest build.
You can upgrade if you want (I recommend iTunes backup and full restore) but there’s no reason to until jailbreak’s actually out.
