iOS 4.3 for iPad 2, iPad, iPhone 4/3GS, iPod Touch 3G/4G to Be Released on March 11

Apple has just announced iOS 4.3 for iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 4G at Apple’s iPad 2 Media Event. The public version of iOS 4.3 firmware will be available for download on March 11.

You know, the main purpose of this media event was to unveil iPad 2 but Apple also disclosed the exact release date of iOS 4.3 version in the event.

iOS 4.3 brings a number of new features for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users like:

  • Option to use Side Swtich hardware button on iPad either as a mute button or as a rotation lock.
  • Personal hotspot on iPhone 4 GSM models
  • Option to cancel the download of an app at any time
  • Safari Improvements by introducing nitroJavaScript engine
  • iTunes home sharing
  • AirPlay improvement
  • Support for FaceTime on iPad 2
  • PhotoBooth for iPad 2

Apple has already rolled out 3 beta versions of iOS 4.3 to developers and the final and public version will be released on March 11.
