How to Unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3 GM Using Ultrasn0w [Old Baseband]

We have got a good news for all those iPhone 4 users who want to update their devices to iOS 4.3 GM release while keeping unlockable state.

Yesterday iH8sn0w released unofficial PwnageTool bundles to jailbreak iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch 3G/4G on iOS 4.3GM. It has been confirmed now that these bundles do not upgrade the baseband on iPhone 4.

So if your iPhone is still on unlockable baseband 01.59.00, you can upgrade it to iOS 4.3 using these PwnageTool bundles and then unlock it using the existing version of Ultrans0w.

Those iPhone 4 users whose devices are on baseband 03.10.01 or those who have accidentally upgraded their devices to iOS 4.3 GM (baseband 04.10.01) without preserving the baseband will have to wait for next version of Ultras0w as iPhone Dev Team has promised that Ultrasn0w 1.3 will be released after iOS 4.3 public version, which is coming on March 11, is out.

Here is how to Unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3 GM:

Step 0: Jailbreak your iPhone 4 using PwnageTool as mentioned in this post.

Step 1: Launch Cydia from your device Springboard.

Step 2: Tap on Manage and select “Sources“.
