iOS 4.3.3 Untethered Jailbreak is Possible Using iOn1c’s Exploit

Today Apple released iOS 4.3.3 for iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1, iPad 2 and iOS 4.2.8 for Verizon iPhone 4. The main purpose of this minor update is to fix the bugs and issues related to location tracking but it was also being expected that Apple might patch @i0n1c’s exploit in this release which provides untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.1 and iOS 4.3.2.

However, comex has just confirmed through his twitter account that @ionic’s exploit is still present and hence untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.3 can be released anytime after some necessary modifications in the current Redsn0w jailbreak tool.

comex: @i0n1c’s bugs is not patched in 4.3.3

On the other side iPhone Dev Team has advised all the unlockers to avoid just released iOS 4.3.3 until they come up with an updated and working ultrasn0w version.

iphone_dev: ultrasn0w unlockers please avoid today’s iOS 4.3.3. Otherwise, @comex says @i0n1c’s untether JB exploit still works!
