Pangu is also compatible with the recently released iOS 7.1.2 and can jailbreak it safely on all the supported devices. To be mentioned, the new update from Apple includes fixes for iBeacon connectivity and email attachment issues.
Though we already knew that iOS 7.1.2 release was imminent and there was a slight chance that Apple could also fix the exploit which is used in Pangu jailbreak but fortunately Apple didn’t do so.

Pangu Supported iOS version and iDevice Models:
If your device is already jailbroken on iOS 7.1.1 or iOS 7.1, you can, though, stay at the this version but it is always better to install the latest firmware so that your device is protected from latest security loopholes. Now Pangu can jailbreak iOS 7.1.2, iOS 7.1.1 and iOS 7.1 on the following devices.
- iPhone: iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4
- iPad: iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad Mini Air and iPad Mini Air Retina
- iPod Touch: iPod Touch 5G
Untethered iOS 7.1.2 Jailbreak Method:
The whole jailbreak is same as we have performed in iOS 7.1.x case. Though we don’t know yet whether OTA (over-the-air) update would kill the existing jailbreak or not, but it is always recommended to restore the fresh iPSW on the device and then jailbreak.
Step 1: First of all make a backup of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch using the latest version iTunes on the computer. You could also back up your device on iCloud but computer method is fast and time saving.
Step 2: Make it sure you have installed the latest version of iTunes and downloaded the latest version of Pangu.
Step 3: Assuming you have already updated your device to iOS 7.1.2, connect your phone with the PC. If you have set any passcode, please remove it first as passcode may cause some issues during the jailbreak process.
Step 4: If you are on Windows, run Pangu in Administrative mode. If you are on Mac simply double click on the downloaded untethered Pangu iOS 7.1.2 jailbreak.
Step 5: Click on “Jailbreak” button.
Step 6: At this stage you have to set the date to June 2, 2014 and set the time to 20:30. A series of images will appear on Pangu which will guide you how to do it.
Step 7: After you have set the required date and date, the jailbreak software will start injecting the bundles.
Step 8: A new Pangu icon will appear on the homescreen of your device. You’ll have to tap on this icon when Pangu ask you to do so.
Step 9: Keep connected your device until your phone restarts.
Step 10. After the restart, you’ll see new cydia installed on your iPhone.
Happy jailbreaking!
