There is no doubt that Samsung’s most popular line of smartphone products is Galaxy. Samsung Galaxy S II has already won the best smartphone award 2011. Now the Korean based company is planning to add a new smartphone in Galaxy series.
And here we have something official. Samsung has finally announced the date of the event. The company is sending out invitations to journalists, analysts and the tech bloggers for this purpose. The invitation clearly says that the event is being organized to unveil the next generation Samsung Galaxy model on May 3 in London.
According to the dutch site, the new smart phone will be Galaxy S III having a 4.7″ inch display and running on Android 4.0. It will be having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. There are also rumors that it is a Super Amoled HD Pro screen in it.
Rumored specs of the Galaxy S III (3) include:
- Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich
- 4.6-4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED Plus display
- Dual-core Exynos 5250 or quad-core Exynos 4412 processor
- 12 MP rear camera, HD front camera
- Only 7 millimeters thick
- Ceramic casing
Though the most pundits of tech industry are expecting an android based Galaxy in this event but there are also some reports that this phone will be a Windows Phone 8 (Apollo) device.
