Finally it has been confirmed that Nexus S exists and it might be the first smartphone that will be running on pre-loaded Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread.
Yesterday Google CEO Eric Schmidt gave an interview at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco. During the interview he also revealed some features of the Gingerbread running on un-named android phone.
Though the phone was taped over to hide the phone-name and manufacturer’s name, but the pictures clearly show that it was Nexus S. It looks very similar to Samsung Galaxy S but the former will definitely be having some new features like:
- Front facing camera, for video calling
- No Physical buttons
- NFC (Near Field Communication) chip
- and above all Android 2.3
