PwnageTool 4.3 and Redsn0w 0.9.8 with iOS 4.3.1 Untethered Jailbreak Support Will Be Released Today

MuscleNerd confirms through his twitter account that PwnageTool 4.3 and Redsn0w 0.9.8 will be released today to bring support for untethered jailbreak on the recently released iOS 4.3.1.

Redsn0w 0.9.8 will be available for both Windows and Mac users while PwnageTool 4.3 will be compatible with Mac machines only, as usual.

MuscleNerd says:

  • (it’s command-line only http://is.gd/zZOEn7 but the idea is to allow kernel hackers to experiment independent of overall JB infrastructure)
  • @adiazrulnizam redsn0w+PwnageTool using @i0n1c’s 4.3.1 untether (except iPad2) are on track for Funday release (USA time)
  • @HaouasLeDocteur “Sunday is a Funday” meme is something we started 2 years ago : ) http://is.gd/OtzzSn — Sundays are good release days : )

These updated versions of Redsnow and Pwnagetool will support all idevices (iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 4G) except iPad 2 which is not vulnerable to @i0nic’s untethered jailbreak exploit.

PwnageTool 4.3 will also allow users to preserve the baseband before updating the devices to iOS 4.3.1. So all those users who rely on unlock must get to iOS 4.3.1 through custom iOS 4.3.1 cooked with PwnageTool otherwise they will lose the unlock ability.

We will post download links of PwnageTool 4.3 and Redsn0w 0.9.8, tutorials and howto guides as soon as we get them.
