As Chronic Dev Team released Corona Package for those users who were running tethered jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 on their devices to convert the tethered into untethered, Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 package is also available for the users who are running tethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak.
If you are having tethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak on any of your device, you can install Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 fom Cydia which will make your life easier. You won’t need to use Redsn0w to bypass the Apple logo after every reboot.
Contrary to Absinthe 2.0, this package doesn’t require you to reset the device and all settings. In fact if you’ll do, you can loose the tethered jailbreak.
To install Rocky Racoon, just fire up the Cydia store, refresh the changes and install it. But in case you are having non-jailbroken iOS firmware on your device, you can safely jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 untethered using Absinthe.
