Snowbreeze 2.9.5 Is Out, Adds iOS 5.1.1 9B208 Untether Support and Fixes Location Services for iPhone 3GS

Snowbreeze 2.9.4 was released the day before yesterday and the same day Apple rolled out a new build 9B208 of iOS 5.1.1 for iPhone 4 GSM models. This build invalidated the Absinthe’s untether payload on iPhone 4 GSM. Fortunately Pod2g and his team fixed the issue within few hours and released a new absinthe version bringing the support for this new build. Now the same patch has been added to Sn0wbreeze 2.9.5 for iPhone 4 Users.

This latest version of Sn0wbreeze also includes a fix for locations services on iPad baseband upgraded iPhone 3GS models. As you know if we flash the iPad baseband on our iPhoen 3GS devices to get the permanent unlock, we also loose the ability of iPhone 3GS to tell us the exact location of the device. Sn0wbreeze 2.9.5 fixes this problem for you. By the way I don’t have iPhone 3GS with iPad baseband right now, so I can’t tell you the exact precision it brings but it would definitely do a good job.

The main difference between Absinthe and Sn0wbreeze is that the latter can perform many other functions like baseband preservation, hacktivation, installing of custom logo etc besides jailbreaking. But if you want to jailbreak your deivce only, you should use the latest version of Absinthe which is quick, fast and takes less than 5 minutes for the whole jailbreak process. However, the users who rely on unlock must always use Sn0wbreeze.
