Add Speedometer to Native iOS Maps App with this simple Cydia Tweak: Speed for Maps

Today we are going to share another simple Cydia Tweak with our those readers who are using a jailbroken iPhone. Speed for Maps tweak adds a new icon into iOS Maps which serves as speedometer.

This tweak is very handy for those users who want to know their current speed while traveling or walking and without using any third-party app. The speedometer icon is added in the bottom right corner of Maps in a beautiful way. In fact it looks like the icon was already there.

Speed for Maps doesn’t add any new icon on the homescreen of iPhone, but you can configure the output in the, changing between MPH, KPH, FPS and Knots.

Launch Cydia and search for “Speed for Maps”. Download and install the tweak on your iPhone.

It is to be noted that this app is compatible with iPhone only.

If your device is running on iOS 4.3.1 or earlier version and is not jailbroken, you can use Redsn0w to jailbreak it. iPhone running on iOS 4.3.3 can be jailbroken with JailbreakMe.
