This is great news for those who love this cross platform messaging client and free apps in general. WhatsApp Messenger for iPhone can now be downloaded for free via the iTunes App Store. This offer is for a limited time only.
For those of you who don’t know what WhatsApp is:
WhatsApp messenger is a cross platform smartphone messenger currently available for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Nokia phones. The application utilizes push notifications to instantly get messages from friends, colleagues and family. Switch from SMS to WhatsApp to send and receive messages, pictures, audio notes, and video messages at no cost. All features are included without the need for extra in-application purchases.
Before being made available for free, WhatsApp Messenger for iPhone was sold at a nominal price of $0.99. Regardless of the fact that WhatsApp for iPhone is available free for a very limited time, people have downloaded this messenger at large primarily because it allows seamless messaging across multiple platforms. Not only does WhatsApp let you send messages, it also allows you to exchange pictures, audio notes and voice messages between any platform. That being said, even the $0.99 price tag for WhatsApp Messenger was justified.
