Which Handsets will Support Flash 10.1? Google Nexus One and Droid Confirmed

Flash Player 10.1 will be available to download in the first half of 2010 and finally two handsets have been confirmed to have support for new Flash 10.1.

The two handsets which have been confirmed are Google Nexus One and Motorola Droid. According to Flashmobileblog, flash 10.1 requires the latest ARM Cortex-A8 chipsets and currently two android based handsets have got this minimum hardware requirement to support flash 10.1.

For all those handset which don’t meet this requirement a new optimized version, Flash Lite, has been introduced and an alpha version of Flash Lite has already been spotted in many videos.

Flash Player 10.1 will be available for download via 3 methods:

  1. It will be bundled with system software updates.
  2. You will be able to download through on-device catalog.
  3. You will download it by entering the download URL in the browser of your device.
